Last Man Down Music

Last Man Down Branding

You may or may not have noticed the rudimentary music player on the right hand side of the blog homepage. I did try to use one of those player widgets you can get online, but none of them would fit properly and I’m not a tech head so I was struggling to install it, so I made my own.

Anyway, I digress – I wanted to place it there to showcase the musical talents of Last Man Down, a band I’ve become aware of via one of the band members who happens to also be a talented freelance graphic designer going by the company name of Big Media Design.

For a long time now I’ve wanted to be able to play interesting music on the blog so I’m delighted to be able to showcase a couple of the tracks from Last Man Down’s up and coming debut album.

The first track is called Killing Time, and the other is as Sugarbabes cover called About You Now.

I’ve been playing Killing Time to death (pun!), and although I like the Sugarbabes cover a lot, I actually really love the ’80′s Teen Movie’ feel to portions of another of their tracks called ‘Amy Just Come Home‘. You can’t beat a bit of 80′s teen angst can you? ;)

There are also another two great songs available to listen to in addition to Killing Time and Amy Just Come Home on their official my space page >>

If you want to listen to their BBC Radio Stoke interview >>

I’ve leave you with some cool videos from Last Man Down …. :)

  • Well, I completely agree that music is definitely a great creative outlet and really helps a designer get inspired, but you should allow an option to play and stop if you are going to add it to your site. Only because it can be extremely annoying to go to a site and have music start right away. Good luck

  • I agree Nikki that it’s annoying to have music play straight away on a website, I don’t like that myself and I don’t think many people do.

My player didn’t play straight away for you did it? I say that because it’s set to only play when someone clicks the play button – there shouldn’t be any auto play in effect.
