Active Smile have close to 4,000 Facebook followers and so take their Facebook marketing very seriously, we provide all of the marketing images for their Facebook page as well as writing the textual content for each of the written statuses that are uploaded with the image.
In many of the Facebook images we design for Active Smile, text within the image itself has been kept to no more than 20% of the image area, as doing this ensures far greater exposure by Facebook advertising; it allows the image to become a ‘promoted status’ if we keep most of the wording to the written area of the status only.
Now we’ve gone and done it again! 2014 brings you a fresh new Cupid.co.uk website design, I absolutely adore the way the client has built the design so that when you enter the website it is in ‘motion’, take a look – www.cupid.co.uk
Look at my ickle plane flying in! Still loving my ‘Godzilla people’.
I’ve been absent from the blog for a while as I’ve been very busy working on lots of posters, banners, window display posters and infographic posters for the launch of Active Smile’s new Dental Information Centre.
We started works on graphics for this earlier in the year, however things have reached fever pitch lately in readiness for launch. The dental information centre, which sits next door the Active Smile dental surgery in Evesham is now complete and rammed to the rafters with our display graphics.
One of the most interesting pieces we worked on for Active Smile is a set of infographic posters on the topic of sugar – interesting for us simply because for some strange reason, despite their prolific use of recent years, this is the first time we’ve actually produced infographics for a client.
These infographics were created from scratch for Active Smile, including researching the facts, writing the textual content and then producing the entire design and custom graphics from the marketing content written for them. Read the rest of this entry »
Following on from the success of The Wealthy Woman by Wealth For Women author Mary Waring, which is a printed book, this week I was commissioned to design a new eBook cover for Wealth For Women in the same style, but using a new vector illustration.
The original book cover design and vector illustration were created by myself also, and following it’s launch the book has been well received and even featured on BBC News Solent. Read the rest of this entry »
With all the sunshine this week, it was very nice to have fun drawing some vector ice lollies for long standing client Hunkydory Home, who needed a ‘Summer Sale’ banner for their website.
We redesigned the Hunkydory website in 2012, and since then have been supplying all of their regularly updated website homepage banners – these are updated with seasons, events, and sales and usually include showcasing a range of their latest products within the banner design. Following on my blog about a historical vector illustration project from 2006, below is the new project work I was describing; the creation of a vector illustration mock up of Active Smile’s new dental information centre, sited next door to their Evesham dental surgery. I have some new illustration work coming up; drawing a building frontage and floor plans for my client to use in a presentations/pitches for their latest business development plans which involve purchasing a show room.
While discussing potential ‘drawing styles’ for the building frontage I remembered a highly relevant vector illustration project from 2006 worth showing them, where I was commissioned to draw an illustrated model/mock up of a smart home to be used in the marketing for a range of smart home technologies. I just had a bit of fun copy writing and designing the Easter marketing for long standing client Active Smile, and proving along with it, that you can use just about any celebration in the yearly calendar of events and incorporate it in your marketing. In other words, the event gives you an excuse to remind your customer base that you exist. Read the rest of this entry »
