Breaking The Mold

Off To See My Lawyer Identity

I’ve just spotted this website on the Top Left Design blog. It’s for a team of lawyers! Don’t you just love the way they have completely bucked the trend for their industry.

Being different works, because it made me actually read their website, whereas if it had looked like every other legal services website out there I wouldn’t have even visited it in the first place, let alone read it. Read the rest of this entry »

London Olympics Logo Best Comments

London Olympics Logo Design

I was just reading a new comment on David Aireys epic 2007 blog about the London Olympics logo and spotted a really witty comment mocking the design.

You know what there are some funny people out there (Not all of them intentionally so). Here are some of the funniest comments out of the 244 currently posted;

Ian Stewart, on June 4th, 2007 David, I don’t know what you’re talking about. This logo totally encompasses the punk rock spirit London has been feeling since The Clash and The Sex Pistols made their debut. I think the 1981 London Olympics will be a big success.

Oh, wait, it’s the 2012 Olympics. Sorry, this logo sucks. Read the rest of this entry »

Another Fine Example

I was recently sent some photos from a client I have not spoken to properly for a while after I enquired as to how much ‘actual use’ they were getting out of their brand.

Well, I was VERY impressed when I got the photos, their exhibition display looks brilliant! Look at it on their t-shirts and stuff as well! I love it when companies actually use their brand identity properly :D

First of all, this is the original Mums Club (Mums in Business) identity design:

Logolicious

Following on from the success of winning a place in “Market Smart” by Harper Collins publishers in 2008, I’ve just had confirmation that my design for Hello Beads (I also named the company), will feature in “Logolicious”.

Logolicious describes itself as “A fantastic pocket-size guide to logo design, Logolicious is an indispensable tool for anyone interested in logo design, branding, or merchandising.”
