Illustration Friday Virgin
A while ago I saw details of a website called Illustration Friday on another blog and thought it was an interesting concept but did nothing more for some months.
Today I decided to give Illustration Friday a whirl, the results are above.
Basically the concept of illustration Friday is that each Friday they throw a ‘word/subject’ out into the ether and us creative types are supposed to come up with whatever we wish to represent that word.
Illustration Friday describe themselves as a weekly outlet for illustrators of all levels of ability to be creatively challenged without the pressures or expectations of client design parameters. No one judges your work, and it is a chance to experiment.
This Friday I observed the word was ‘Scale’. Hence the drawing I have created, and now uploaded to Illustration Friday also. I found it an interesting and quite enjoyable experience. I may well do an Illustration Friday task again some time.
‘Leisure drawing’ isn’t something I have much time for really, too busy drawing for clients instead and when I’ve stopped doing that all day all I’m fit for is flopping in front of the tv
