Hey, this is exciting (for me that is )

I’ve just found out I love designing shopping cart buttons. On the face of it, it seems a pretty mundane task but I definitely found it enjoyable and am really happy with the result.

I created the brand design for QnECMS (QuicknEasy CMS) last year (2006), and this is shown above.

This week I was commissioned to create shopping cart buttons to match the brand because QnECMS is now to offer a shopping cart solution as part of its CMS software.

I’m really pleased with these. Before designing I first visited Get Elastic Blog’s Collection of 107 Cart Buttons from Top Online Retailers to get a feel for what I did and did not like about other people’s cart buttons, and then set about designing these.

I feel that they match the feel of the software branding, and work well in the smaller size.

What is very strange is that in five years, and with all the different designs I’ve been asked to create for many different purposes, this is the first time I have been asked to design shopping cart buttons.
