I seem to be having a bit of an eco theme this last month … turning all eco-warrior I am.

I just received from email spam from Signs Express about their new Eco-Friendly Exhibition Banners, it’s the first time I even thought about the fact that you could get eco-friendly banners over and above ’standard banners’ and certainly piqued my interest.

According to Signs Express, as part of their commitment to offer a wider range of eco-friendly products (I’m noticing more and more printing firms getting on board with this of recent years), they have launched environmentally friendly bamboo banners.

The banner features a sturdy bamboo frame and can be compacted into a carry bag just as easily as a standard banner … in this case the bag is made of cotton cloth.

They hasten to reassure us however that the bamboo used to create the banners has not been snatched out of a Pandas mouth, rather it has been created on special farms.

Apparently bamboo is the fastest growing plant on earth, provides critical oxygen for the atmosphere, is viable for replacing wood and metal components, and is incredibly versatile in it’s use (I’m sure you’ve heard of bamboo t-shirts?) - obviously the other benefit is that bamboo is a plant and can bio-degrade.

Whether you are a business owner or a graphic designer catering to clients, it makes sense to spend a bit more (only a bit more costly I believe) and ‘invest’ in mother earth.. You can vomit now … ha ha…
