Lady Sovereign Ahead of Her Time
You know, I just happened upon a music video of Lady Sovereign, who I only remember having a few hits at the time, and observing that her style is VERY similar to many current artists enjoying massive success.
I’m feeling that she was ahead of her time. In this song below for instance, she sounds very similar to Dappy from N Dubz.
Another artist of similar ilk and successful now is Professor Green.
I make no secret of my extremely age inappropriate (I’m 38) love of N Dubz by the way 
I am now wanting a Lady Sovereign/N Dubz collaboration of course.

Yeah she had pretty cool tracks. It seems like she has withdrawn from the music seen. She has a new album coming out in 2013 but she has a tendency to have delays in here releases. she probably will be gone all together from music since her last album didn’t do nearly as good as public warning with def jams. She has no official website any more and she performed only once at a mall this year and her only thing on the internet is her twitter account and it seems she isn’t doing much as far as music goes. Her mother died in 2010 and she took a break and hasn’t came back yet. Hope she can get signed to a big label again.

Yeah she recently released a Christmas single on Itunes. She tweeted the itune link but when I clicked it Itunes said it wasn’t available in USA. I’m assuming it is a UK release. Haven’t been able to find the song anywhere on the internet however.
Likewise, I couldn’t find anything.
Well, I’m following her channel on Youtube now so hopefully I’ll know as soon as it’s released!
