Loving Fortnum & Mason Today

I visited Fortnum & Mason today looking for a birthday gift for my brother in a law and I’m loving their stylish mix of ‘traditional heritage business’ with a modern twist.
Bravo to them for getting the combination of heritage plus modern spot on. Their Easter shop window styling is looking particularly good, here are my favourite bits of their website and branding style this Easter.

Loving: The cute birdie! The modern chocolate (Easter) brown and pink combined so well with their heritage green. Visit the site, the chick moves also.
Love their heritage style shopping basket for the ecommerce shopping bag.

Enamoured by: Stunning use of different colour coded ‘floral’ header area for each section of the website accompanied by equisite product feature boxes as an intro to each new section. Outstanding attention to detail that just screams quality brand.

Finally … wow, the Easter product packaging this spring … gasp, gorgeous.
Look at the totally gorgeous bird illustrations on the front of the egg packaging! I’m in awe.

GORGEOUS packaging! I love packaging designs and the creativity it offers, large companies should experiment more with their designs to differentiate their product from others on the shelf.
They have a really nice website aswell, I wouldn’t have thought a fairly dark header on a white background could work but it screams quality and luxury.
I must admit I was quite disappointed with my easter egg packaging this year! Nothing worth saving!

I’m too old to get Easter eggs any more
lol..
I managed to convince my mother in law to buy me Easter eggs until I was about 27yrs old … but by the time I had my own children not long after that, she forced me to concede that I could no longer be counted in with ‘the children’ any longer!! ha ha…
That’s right, a married woman getting Easter eggs like a child off her mummy in law, lol …. personally I still feel she should buy me an egg.
