Disney Reaching Across Borders

As if entertainment giant Disney aren’t content with grabbing the lions share of the niche market that is children and families, they now want a slice of us adults also!
Now please excuse the scritchy scratchy nature of these photos. I photographed them from a page of Heat Magazine and then seperated them from their background.

What you are looking at is the beautifully designed packaging for a new Paul and Joe beauty product, adorned with non other than disney characters. These are limited edition.
Make note that they have used classic disney cartoon characters rather than anything newer…perhaps wanting to hint at the classic nature of Paul and Joe products? I don’t they’d look quite the same with Buzz Lightyear on the front, what do you think?
Is this the beginning of Disney’s assault on the adult marketplace?

Now, last week when I checked they didn’t have the products on their website, but I now see a little banner link to their new range. So actually, you don’t have to stare at my rubbish photos, we can see them in full glory instead below;

And also you can see more by visiting the Paul and Joe Disney section of their website.

Also if you want to read more about Disney beauty collaborations, you can visit the Makeup Museum blog - there is an excellent blog on this subject rammed with glorious close up photographs of this beautiful packaging.

This intrigued me too… I think Disney have been branching out into the adult market more and more in the past few years - this is certainly the case at my local Disney store anyway

Well in the Disney stores for a while now there have been things that you would potentially buy an adult rather than a child such as their collectible ornaments for instance.
Also I have a Disney Treasures book that chronicles the life of Walt Disney, successes, failures and lots of memorabilia inside, which is aimed at adults really, it’s fabulous - I wrote a blog about it here;
