Firebox Unleashes New Brand

Now you’ve got to admire the gumption of Firebox to launch a new product (trademarked no less) that is sold to it’s target on the market on the basis that it’s a ‘bad product’.

Astounding and genius and perfect for their customer base.
CrapWrap (TM) has been recently launched as the ideal gift wrap solution – deliberately poorly executed gift wrapping service for customers that can wrap this badly themselves for free!
Firebox rather cunningly insist in their clever sales copy that wrapping ‘this bad’ is an art and therefore worthy of the £3.95 price tag attached to this novel service.
It’s So Special
They even illustrate the ‘art/science’ involved in the bad wrapping (and hence worth the money) in their sales imagery – Firebox Scientist types wrapping your gifts in the worst way possible, much better than you could possibly ‘joke wrap’ them yourself of course…because it requires a special skill.
Shall I start selling joke logos – designed so badly that it’s an ‘art’ and charging as much for them as I would well designed logos?
Ok bad analogy, but I just love Firebox for this most excellent and extremely cheeky new product.

Removing Customer Objections
Like any good marketing campaign one must consider customer ‘objections’ as we call them in the sales trade (I used to be a sales person by the way before all this design malarkey), and the best marketing campaign anticipates potential customers objections.
For instance … “Hang on a minute, my recipient is just going to think I’m a total ass for wrapping their gift like that”….no fear says Firebox with this cunning objection remover;
