Found! Gallery Viewing

Student Art Gallery Exhibition

Last week I attended Found! An end of year student art gallery event, out which I should be able to milk not one, but THREE blogs! Yep, it was pretty interesting and I don’t want to ram all my waffling and images into one blog :)

I was invited to the private preview event (sniff, because I’m special I am) by my work experience student from last summer Sally and so in this blog I’m going to feature her wonderful gallery display and more. Sally’s was one of the best displays at the event, and hands down the most ‘commercial’ in terms of skills that can be translated in the real world into cold hard cash that we all need to you know, eat and stuff.

Anyway, less of my jibber jabber and on with the images:

Sally was involved in the organisation of the event, and created the Found! event branding (also used on the event flyer shown above). These faces were created by Sally, used on the flyer, then replicated and hand painted by her on to the wall at this size along with the Found! text.

One corner of Sally’s booth, on the wall she has displayed a selection from her graphic design portfolio.

The other corner, featuring hand baked biscuits (what a hard worker!) attached to her business cards! The branding you see in the booth is for ‘Megabone’, which is the company name/brand that Sally will be trading under as a freelance graphic designer. Oh yes, and they did taste REALLY nice as well.

My graphic designer friend Pam, owner of Mint Creative ate two of them :) She had missed dinner mind.

COMING NEXT!
Now, one of the other booths got me super excited, because it was full of RETRO things and you know I lurrve retro. So that’s going to my next blog and I have super cool photos to show you.
