The quintessential British brand Mini Cooper is 50 years old this week.
What do you think of when you think of ‘Mini’, what is their brand? Off the top of my head I’d say: Economical, fun, British.
A mini is a very small car designed by Sir Alec Issigonis for the British Motor Corporation for the first time in 1959. The vehicle was considered an icon of the 1960′and in 1999 the was given the title of the second most influential car of the 20th Century.

Mini started it’s life manufactured in Cowley, Oxford, and Longbridge Birmingham …. later Australia, Spain and more. Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris brand names until 1969 when it was marketed and branded in it’s own right.
Today MINI is owned by BMW and still manufactured in Cowley, Oxford.
