Oh O … retro

Oh O…she’s banging on about retro things again!
Love this beauty products packaging showcased at Notorious Kitsch. Well worth a look round their shop by the way, lots of cool original goodies to buy.
Also it’s the strangest coincidence that I’ve just happened upon two visually interesting things with ‘kitsch’ in the name … I’m not hunting them down that way I promise, they have both just crossed my path very naturally.
I’m a big fan of the ‘pinups’ look, and also a big fan of ‘packaging‘ so these are just stunning to me:

Now this below is a laptop bag …. feels a bit ‘French Trolley Dolly’ to me, I love it, of course, you’re onto an instant winner with me if it’s got pink in it. Can you imagine taking this to a client meeting though?

“Errrm…. yes please don’t focus on my kitsch funky 1950s laptop bag, I’m totally professional I promise”. Hmmm… a laptop bag for leisure only methinks.
Saying that I’m a big fan of ‘being yourself’ – and hence I took this laptop bag below to my last client meeting! Yes it’s a tad girly and cute, but if I’m not myself, who am I? Why should I stamp down my natural girly nature just because I’m a professional in business?
Enjoying a bit of girly personal style doesn’t make me less professional than the rest, and the beauty of having your ‘own’ business should be that you can stop being a worker drone and be yourself.

You can get this from Amazon >>
Who knows, at your next client meeting this bag (or the one above if you dare) might just help to ensure you are remembered above the other worker drones pitching for the business
Anyway, visit the site and behold lots of cool prints, illustrations and graphics plastered over virtually every product, a regular eye feast awaits.
xx

I LOVE Notorious Kitsch, great company – have bought dozens of things from them! Great service too! I love being able to be more individual in everyday life, everything in the UK is so humdrum…….
Thanks for the mention, glad you like our store

I love the body america stuff. Very vintage!
Paperchase have a load of retro/alternative style products going on at the minute. I got some really cool wrapping paper the other day. I’m also a pen addict, so I love stationery stores anyway! Boring, I know!

Ditto!! I’m addicted to Paperchase, I don’t get to go to one very often but when I do it’s like I’m in a frenzy of excitement – there are far too many cool things in there and I just love stationery.
My major stationery addiction is notebooks and file boxes. As I cast my eye at the shelf above me there are nine folder files/file rack/box files type objects …. in five different patterns … representing the multiple episodes of impulse purchase.
I went to Paperchase a couple of weeks ago … bought a teapot for someone’s gift (have some stunning teapots in at the moment) some tea towels, some greeting cards, and a business card holder. Whoever designs for them is amazing. I should find out actually and blog about it really now I think about it. I’m a big fan of their designers, they have outstanding patterns.
I wanted to buy about ten other things I had no need for whatsoever but had to control myself
We have got some great stores in the UK …. all online though
The high street is so crud on the whole (Paperchase aside!) no wonder it’s struggling.
love the pink laptop bag – definitely will stand out
Stand proud and be pink!
I love it!
