Vintage Rocks Hair Parlour

I do so love it when ‘vintage’ meets ‘business’
A while ago I happened upon Vintage Rocks Hair Parlour online, probably whilst leering at other vintage things one day.
I was really impressed by their unique brand image and how professionally this is presented and very importantly ‘adhered’ to in each and every way they market themselves.
According to Vintage Rocks they are Ireland’s first vintage rock and roll hair parlour, and they certainly make the most of their USP (unique selling point) in terms of their business image.
The most notable online marketing activity for this Belfast based hair parlour appears to be via their Facebook fan page, where they have over 5,000 ‘likes’ – nothing to be sniffed at for a small business.

I’m highly impressed by their stunning mascot based brand identity symbol (shown above), it reminds me of the styling of many of the illustrations in my Hotrods, Burlesque and Rock n Roll book.
Unfortunately I feel their website design is a tad of a let down by comparison to their logo design and other stellar efforts, including the presentation of their staff in line with the company image, and the salon interior, which I have shown images of below.

And of course, far from being just a pretty logo, Vintage Rocks seem to offer very impressive styling also, as shown in a couple of images from their customer gallery below.

I’m not the first person to have their head turned (pun! ha ha
) by Vintage Rocks, as they have attracted an impressive amount of news coverage already, such as this coverage by Milkcow Magazine …
