Yudo - Modern Publishing

I’ve recently heard of Yudu, which is a very easy way to turn your PDF documents into online publications…. slick turning pages and all.
Publishing a PDF at Yudu is quick, easy and the end result impressive. What’s even more exciting is that you can publish multiple documents for free and host them at Yudu. There is a ‘Pro’ package available, but the free version of their service is excellent also.
I’ve noticed an upturn in publishing of online documents (such as PDFs) and you can use Yudu to turn your PDFs into more feature rich online documents such as magazines, brochures, manuals and more.
Some examples of well designed publications I’ve come across at Yudu include:
These should give you a feel for what is possible with Yudu with just the free service alone.
Atlanta Business Celebrities Magazine

Isle of Wight College Prospectus (love the design!)

I think I prefer issuu.com myself with the animated page turning but a very useful post none the less!

I’ve just tried that one having not heard of it but definitely still prefer Yudu, I think it might be the sound of the pages turning that particularly appeals to me with Yudu, and I find the page turn itself a nice speed.
You said you prefer the animated page turning at Issuu … did you not see page turn animation at Yudu when you visited it?
There’s another service like this called www.zmags.com, but again, the page turning isn’t as much to my liking as Yudu. Plus it’s not free like Yudu.
What I also like about Yudu is that when you click on a publication to view it, the default size is already quite big and readable, whereas with other services it can start out quite small on the screen.

Just uploaded a client PDF guide (created illustrations also) to Yudu, I think it’s looking really nice in the Yudu setting;

Can’t they shorten their links though by the way!!

That’s very impressive, though I still prefer Zipadi. Nevertheless, this is an interesting resource.
