Truly Ace is delighted to have been creating fashion illustrations for the retail industry for close to ten years and as such has built up a wealth of experience.

It's always been popular for retailers and especially those in the fashion industry to use illustrations in their marketing and advertising.

The term 'fashion illustration' is often used to describe a drawing of a fashion garment for a fashion house, but in this context we refer to what one would describe as 'lifestyle illustrations' for the fashion industry, which are used by retailers as aspirational images to help sell their products and brand their businesses.

There has been a decline in actual fashion illustration (drawings of each fashion garment) since the 1930's when journals like Vogue began to replace their fashion illustrations with photography. Nevertheless illustrators still work heavily in the fashion industry today creating editorial fashion illustrations of 'fashion lifestyle'. One of the most famed artists of our time illustrating for fashion, music and lifetyle editorials is London born illustrator Jason Brooks.
